Like many other areas in BC and Canada the real estate buying activity in Whistler has increased significantly over the last 2 months. Our sales volume for June & July has outpaced the same period last year and August is continuing at the same level. Overall there isn't any upward pressure on prices as there is enough inventory of properties available for sale offering choices to the buyers. This year we have seen an approximate 10% - 20% downward adjustment in prices in most areas; however, there has been enough interest in the $1m - $1.5m home market that this segment has held its value better than most. Townhouses and Condominiums have seen the largest
adjustments in price – with many of the sellers highly motivated and negotiating some of the best selling prices in years.
