Sales activity in the Whistler marketplace continued to be active throughout the summer. House sales and family oriented townhouse and condominiums are drawing the most interest from buyers, but all submarkets are showing improvements in both number of units sold and average value.
The total dollar volume of sales YTD through August is $540 million, which is approximately 30% more over the same period last year. Similarly, the total number of properties sold was 590, up 25% over the same period last year.
Given the declining number of listings and the increasingly strong interest in purchasing in the Whistler area
we expect that prices will continue to strengthen for the foreseeable future.
